Our Story

Solar light sparked life on Earth, and is the primary source of energy on our planet. Using the power of light for healing the body dates back to the Greeks, they called this form of therapy heliotherapy. They knew the benefits of using light to heal but they did not know that sunlight is harmful if used consistently...

THE PIONEER OF LIGHT THERAPY

Dr. Niels Ryberg Finsen (1860–1904) delved into the theory of light as therapy, demonstrating the beneficial effects of various light wavelengths in the treatment of tuberculosis. Finsen was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology in 1903.

The use of concentrated light radiation for the treatment of smallpox, measles and lupus vulgaris opened a new avenue for medical science. This same technology of light therapy has proven to be effective in the fields of dermatology, neurology and physiotherapy.

FROM NOBEL PRIZE TO NASA

LED light therapy and the use of specific light waves for therapy has continued to advance. NASA noticed the increase in plant growth under specific light wavelengths. Since then, NASA began experimenting with LEDs to speed up the healing of wounds for pain management. The test results were positive and the research branched into the field of skin cancer treatment and cosmetics.

LED light therapy has been validated by thousands of studies because of its diversity and efficacy in the treatment of medical ailments.
